P.S. 198 students competed on three different teams in the First Lego League NYC Robotics Regional Championships for 4th-8th graders at Bronx Science on March 12th.
The Pixel Penguins came in 5th place overall out of 51 teams, the Koding Kirbies came in 3rd place for best Innovation Project by creating a solution for automated solar panel cleaning, and the Tech Hoppers came in 2nd place for the Core Values Award.
The Pixel Penguins and the Koding Kirbies had previously placed 1st and 2nd at the FLL Robotics Qualifiers in January to make it to the Regional Championships.
