For over 15 years, New York Family Media has celebrated excellence in local education with the Blackboard Award. The honorees are identified with the help of thousands of city parents who send in their nominations, and in consultation with local education and admission experts. As we reported in January, Ms. DeBenedictis won a 2019 Blackboard Award for Schools & Principals. Then just before the end of the school year in June, we learned that Ms. Festo earned a Blackboard Award for Teachers. Our kids are so lucky to be in the midst of such dedicated educators, and, as parents, we are so happy that their hard work is recognized and celebrated. Congratulations!
